2009 KTM X-Bow Winter Drift

Motorcycles KTM went to my first sports car to the Geneva Motor Show in 2007 with the KTM X-Bow. There is a limited edition X-Bow, as well ... The X-Bow Dallara (only 100 made.) This is in honor Dallara, an Italian specialist in race and sports. This Italian company is also involved in developing and tuning the chassis. The chassis itself is a double wishbone and push rod in the front suspension. Another possibility is racing chassis, which has the suspension and institutions and is preloaded to provide you the ground.

X-Bow is a lightweight mid-engine vehicle, which carbon fiber shell (Greek and French words meaning a single shell.) This is a construction technique that supports structural load using external skin instead of the object using the internal frame or truss that they are not under load-bearing skin. Another term for this technique is a Uni-body construction.

It is a very advanced technology for the Formula 1 racing, racing cars and the expensive and exotic sports cars. This particular dish is made according to experts in Wethje, southern Germany. The crash box for a "sandwich structured solid base." Given that the carbon shell, the vehicle is only 2370 kg. Given that it has a low weight, it is possible for many other super cars, which are much stronger.

This sports car is designed for winter fun, so it is equipped with four-wheel drive. It is also equipped with a two-liter Audi TFSI inline-four. The engine weighs 1742 pounds. Torque is 229 pounds per foot. Horsepower is 240, or 7.3 pounds per horsepower. Maximum speed is 0-62 in 3.9 seconds.

This vehicle, with its radical and advanced technological solutions, for the ultimate real open-air "car experience. So this means that there is no roof or windshield. At least in the conceptual phase, when he was first introduced in 2007 to Auto Show in Geneva. This was so focused on the issue of a driving experience that can be found only on the motorcycle ride. There was very little change from the prototype and production model that was on exhibition in 2008.

It is shown that for the most part, the biggest change was the increase of the air located between the headrests. This is to allow for greater engine cooling system during demanding activities.

Another change is that the new instrument layout. Initially all indicators and controls, together with the display on the handlebars, which is shown not a very good place for them. So now on the screen, that shower-proof, is now located on the center console up. A control buttons are still on the steering wheel.

Another major change was in addition to small side windows and less polycarbonate windscreen. New is also the upholstery of the seats. Seat shells must be strong and are made of carbon, so the seats can be mounted directly on the tank, so filling is needed, in varying degrees to the driver. There is a pedal box that is mechanically adjustable so that the driver, the cab, which is handy. And if you like the "sport-sound X-Bow KTM has a silencer with twin exhaust pipes for fine-tuning. Many options besides Dallara edition can be ordered for standard KTM X-Bow Dallara exception of the plaque and special graphics.

He is now certified for the road is legal in most European countries. European Small Series Approval Regulations, which is scheduled for the first part of 2009, a road legal across Europe.

Speaking of Europe, although the authorities did not require the driver of the X-Bow to wear a helmet, KTM emphasized, to recommend to you. Geneva Show, is made available to two (both had X-Bow branding). Models are Closed Racing Arai Helmet and one of the Schuberth, a German company. In Arai meets the requirements of motor sports authorities, a full protection while the German one better peripheral vision.
